This Happy Meal was a tie-in with the CBS Saturday morning TV show "The adventures of Raggedy Ann and Andy". The characters are not new as they became one of the first licenced proporties 100 years ago. The four premiums, one "Under three", and one box were tested in the September 1989 Open Window in the San Francisco region, Las Vegas, Portland, Oregon and Hawai. It was later done in September 7 to October 4, 1990 Open Windows. The back of the insert card in each polybag carried a story about the character. The characters and playground were created exclusively for McDonald's.
